The third annual Gainesville City School System Summer Leadership Summit will be held for three days this week at Brenau University's Downtown Center.

Monday and Tuesday, approximately 150 educators are expected for professional learning activities by national experts in the fields of educational leadership development, school culture/climate, and school improvement. Additionally, Gainesville’s Aspiring Leaders Academy will present its capstone projects following a year of learning and practicing the GCSS Leadership Essentials and Priorities.

On Wednesday, all participants will report to the Gainesville High School Ninth Grade Center to focus on school improvement planning for the 2017-2018 school year. Following the school improvement planning sessions, the district's annual Comprehensive LEA Improvement Plan meeting will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Ninth Grade Center’s Cafeteria.
