Two people suffered serious injuries Friday evening in a head-on collision on Browns Bridge Road.
The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. at the roadway's intersection with Memorial Park Road. The number of vehicles and individuals involved in the collision is unknown.
Gainesville Fire Division Chief Keith Smith said in an email update from the scene that multiple ambulances and fire units were dispatched to the area following the initial 911 call. A medical helicopter was also called to the scene to aid in transporting any potential victims.
Smith said the head-on collision resulted in two people being transported from the scene by Hall County emergency workers. He said the pair were both listed in serious condition.
No names have been released at this time, and specific details regarding the accident were unclear.
The investigation has been turned over to the Georgia State Patrol.
