Officials confirmed Friday afternoon that a wreck on Ga. 400 in Dawson County involved a fatality.
One person died in the wreck, which happened around 2:13 p.m. near Industrial Park Road, though it's unclear how many cars were involved.
At last report around 3 p.m. one lane of Ga. 400 was closed in each direction, and would likely remain that way for "several hours," according to Jeff Johnson, Dawson County Sheriff.
Sheriff Johnson said his department and the Georgia State Patrol are investigating.
