Gainesville Eye Associates has added Dr. Stephen Ellison to its optometry staff.
Ellison earned his doctorate at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. He is a magna cum laude graduate from the University of Georgia with a degree in Biology. He completed internships that provided training in treatment and management of various ocular diseases including retina, cornea, and glaucoma. His areas of interest include treating patients with dry eye and corneal diseases.
He also has experience fitting specialty contact lenses, which can greatly enhance vision in conditions that vision is not correctable with standard glasses.
He joins his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Ellison, on Gainesville Eye Associates’ optometry staff. She joined the practice a year ago.
