Officials on Friday cut the ceremonial ribbon to re-open the newly renovated Sexton Hall Enrichment Center in Forsyth County.
Improvements to the building, which serves active Forsyth County senior citizens, include a new kitchen, a room for a memory-support respite program, a kiln room for ceramic art and additional office and storage space, according to a news release.
It cost $1,259,000, funded by a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).
“We are very excited to reopen this facility,” said Director of Senior Services Ruthie Brew.
“The renovations made to the building, including the addition of an art wing, space for an outdoor garden and an enlarged kitchen, will allow us to better serve our seniors in the south portion of the county.”
The center is located on Chloe Road, just off Sharon Road.
