FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Flowery Branch City Council has given second approval to a rezoning that will allow for some design changes to a planned addition to the Sterling on the Lake subdivision.
The council gave initial approval to the measure at their April 6 meeting and Rochester and Associates representative Brian Rochester presented a look at the updated plans at the council's meeting Thursday evening.
The new plans call for one road connecting the two main roads of proposed "Pod Q" on the neighborhood's northeast corner, rather than the two alleyways that were previously designed. Rochester said it will allow the same number of properties to be built each with larger land amounts. The development will also feature an access road to nearby Capitola Farm Road.
The council approved the second reading unanimously.
