One person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on Ga. 316 at its intersection with Ga. 81 in Barrow County, officials confirmed.
Three vehicles — a Kenworth Truck, GMC Sierra and Ford F-150 — were headed east and slowing for a red light when an Isuzu box truck, driven by Martin Andrade-Cerda, 55, of Loganville, failed to stop in time, hitting the Kenworth truck's trailer and causing a chain reaction, according to a news release from the Georgia State Patrol.
The Kenworth truck hit the Sierra, which hit the F-150; the wreck happened around 1:45 p.m.
Investigators pronounced Andrade-Cerda dead at the scene, and no other injuries have been reported in the incident.
