A Gainesville-based organization that provides transportation for seniors and visually impaired adults is in need of a "serviceable car in good working order."

According to a press release from ITNLanier, it has delivered 1,150 rides since it began operations a year ago and is quickly approaching 100 members.

"Our continued growth has made it challenging to meet the demand for rides especially during peak periods," according to the release.  "Our volunteers are the greatest but they can't do it all.  We need a car so that we can add a paid driver to deliver a portion of our rides.  This allows us to continue to provide reliable, dependable transportation for our members when they want to go."

ITNLanier is a 501(c)3 non-profit so donations are tax deductible.  Donors also have the option of receiving ride credits for transportation needs.
