An arrest following a three-week drug investigation took roughly 80 grams of suspected methamphetamine off the streets of Rabun County on Saturday.
Rusty Derek Garrison, 36, of Toccoa was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the parking lot of a business on Old Highway 441 in Rabun County, according to Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ken Howard of the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.
At the time of his arrest, Garrison was in possession of about 80 grams of suspected meth, with a street value of $8,000, and was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, Howard said.
The investigation was conducted by the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Clayton Police Department and the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.
