Hall County School District officials said no one was injured when a school bus and two vehicles were involved in a wreck on I-985 Friday morning.

The accident happened around 6:30 a.m., according to a statement from school district spokesman Gordon Higgins.

"Bus number 3315 driven by Liem Tran was merging into I-985 traffic at exit 12 (Spout Springs Road) to begin a regular a.m. bus route. The bus was struck by a passenger vehicle which was headed south on I-985," Higgins said.

The first collision caused the bus to hit another vehicle that was traveling southbound on I-985. The bus and that third vehicle then hit the southbound guard cables on the the highway.

There were no students on the bus at the time of the crash.

"The school bus was driven back to the Hall County Bus shop after the accident, while the other two vehicles were towed from the scene," Higgins said.

He said the bus driver was found to be not at fault in the accident.
