A Hall County man faces a felony arson charge for allegedly setting fire to the bedroom of an Elland Heights Road home intentionally on Friday morning in Murrayville.

Austin Blake Hughes, 20, is also charged with aggravated assault and three counts of child cruelty, since three children and an adult woman were home, at the time, according to Lt. Scott Ware, Hall County Sherriff's Office spokesman.

The home is a double wide mobile home.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which was set around 9 a.m., and Hughes was booked into the Hall County Jail.

A neighbor was able to extinguish the flames, according to Hall County Fire Capt. Zach Brackett.

The case remains under investigation.
