Hall County authorities are on the lookout for at least one suspect after the armed robbery of a local fast food restaurant early Saturday morning in the south end of the county.

Deputies with the Hall County Sheriff's Office were called to the McDonald's on Golden Parkway around 4:30 in response the apparent robbery, according to Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware.

"An unidentified black male approximately 6'1" and weighing approximately 220-250 pounds, with a muscular build, wearing a black bandanna, partially concealing his face, followed a store employee into the business at gunpoint," Ware explained.

Ware said the suspect then followed the employee into the restaurant's office area, demanding money while pointing the gun at the employee's back. He said the gun used in the robbery was described as a "silver-colored handgun."

The suspect then left the restaurant with several bank deposit bags, which Ware said contained around $2,500 in cash. No employees were injured in the robbery.

The suspect, who Ware says may have been working with accomplices, left the area in a "grey four-door car."

Ware added that the suspect is considered "armed and dangerous."

Anyone who has information regarding the suspect's identity or any information regarding this incident, are asked to call 911 or Investigator Joy Mayfield at 770-533-7182.

This incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
