Posted 7:00PM on Thursday 6th April 2017 ( 8 years ago )
A sweep of the University of North Georgia library on the Gainesville campus turned up nothing suspicious after a bomb threat Thursday afternoon.

"Police have not yet completed their work. The library will remain closed today (Thursday), but we expect it to open tomorrow on a normal schedule," University spokeswoman Kate Maine said in an update email. She confirmed late Thursday evening that the library would operate under normal hours Friday.

Officials evacuated the library building before 2 p.m.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact campus police by calling (706) 864-1500 or reporting anonymously via the Rave Guardian App.
