Easter egg hunts and services pack the spring calendar in North Georgia

If your children like to search for Easter eggs, then they have plenty of chances in the week leading up to the Easter holiday on April 16. We've included eggs hunts, spring activities and Easter services submitted to AccessWDUN. If you have something to submit, please send the information to [email protected]. APRIL 8
 
Bethlehem Baptist Church of Clarkesville Community Easter Egg Hunt
 
Time: 10 a.m.-noon (Birth - 5th Grade)
Where: On the front lawn of Bethlehem Baptist Church 624 Hwy. 197 N, Clarkesville
 
Easter Services for Bethlehem Baptist include:
Good Friday Communion Service- April 14, 6 p.m.
Easter Services- April 16, 9 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.

Cabbage Patch Kids 29th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza
 
Time: 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Place: BabyLand General Hospital, 300 N.O.K. Dr. Cleveland, GA 30528 United

Various activities scheduled throughout the day at BabyLand General Hospital, including breakfast with the Easter Bunny to an egg hunt with more than 30,000 eggs.
 
Longstreet Society 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
 
Time: 10-11 a.m.
Place: The Piedmont Hotel Museum, 827 Maple Street, Gainesville, GA 30501
This free event includes photos with the bunny, face painting and craft table. Free parking.

APRIL 9
 
Gainesville's Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the Midtown Greenway
 
Time: 2 p.m. (for ages 0-3 / 8-10) and 2:45 p.m. (ages 4-7)
Place: Midtown Greenway at 682 Grove Street behind the Gainesville Public Safety Complex
Bounce houses, face painting and other free activities. Photos with the Easter Bunny are $5 each.

3rd Annual Suwanee Jubilee Easter Egg Hunt
 
Time: 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. (Birth - 5th Grade)
Where: Jubilee Shopping Center, 1500 Peachtree Industrial Blvd.
Hunts will be separated by age: 0-3 (1 p.m. - 1:25 p.m.), 4-7 (1:40 p.m. - 2 p.m.) and 8+ (2:15 p.m. - 2:35 p.m.)
More than 8,000 eggs to be hunted, along with inflatables, live music, face painting and more. 
 
 
APRIL 12
 
Lanier Hills Church Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Dark
 
Time: 6 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
Where: Lanier Hills Church on Duckett Mill Road off Dawsonville Hwy in Gainesville
Bring a flashlight to search for thousands of Easter eggs in the dark. 
 
Easter services for Lanier Hills Church include:
Sunday morning worship on April 16 at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The services are identical modern worship services. Children's services will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. 
 
APRIL 13
 
North Georgia Zoo Easter Festival
 
Date: April 13th- 16th , 2017
Time: Weekdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and weekends  10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Place: 2912 Paradise Valley Rd, Cleveland, GA 30528
Cost:  ZOO Admission: ($23 adults/ $21 kids (2-11),2 & under are free) + Easter Egg Hunt ($5)
Enjoy the Rabbitpalooza where you can touch, hold, and learn about over 10 different types of rabbits. Lots of baby bunnies! Eggstravaganza Enjoy egg hunting in a whole new fashion. APRIL 14
 
Good Friday Service and Helicopter Egg Drop at Atlanta Dragway
 
Date:  Friday, April 14
Time:  6:30-8 p.m.
Place:  Atlanta Dragway, 500 E. Ridgeway Road in Commerce
 
Maysville Baptist Church sponsors this Good Friday event that includes a Good Friday service and then a colossal Easter egg hunt for the kids. The church will drop 20,000 Easter eggs from two helicopters following the 6:30 p.m. service. The egg hunt is for children ages 1 year up to 5th grade. Follow this link for full details.
 

APRIL 15

St. Paul United Methodist Church Community Easter Egg Hunt

 
Time: 2- 4 p.m.
Place: Wilshire Trails Park, 849 Wilshire Road, Gainesville
Sponsored by: St. Paul United Methodist Church on Washington St. in Gainesville
 
The event, which is free and open to the public, includes an egg hunt and snacks for the children, as well as the telling of the Easter story.

APRIL 16
 
Celebration Church of Hall County has scheduled two services for Easter Sunday. A sunrise service takes place at 7 a.m. with breakfast to follow. A traditional service is set for 10:30 a.m. All activities will take place on the church campus at 5934 Cleveland Highway in Clermont.
