AUGUSTA — The 20th-ranked Georgia men’s golf team stands ninth after two rounds of the 39th annual 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs carded rounds of 2-over 290 and 6-under 282 for a total of 4-under 572. Illinois and New Mexico share the team lead at 19-under 557.
Senior Greyson Sigg paced the Bulldogs as he fired a 3-under 141. The Augusta native stands 18th individually, eight shots in back of leader Dylan Meyer of Illinois (11-under 133).
Sophomore Tye Waller landed at 2-under 142, followed by freshman Trevor Phillips at 1-over 145, and freshmen Will Chandler and Gainesville's Spencer Ralston both at 4-over 146.
The final round of the Augusta Invitational will begin Sunday at 8:30 a.m. for the Bulldogs, who will be paired with Oklahoma and Georgia State. Live results and pairings can be found at Golfstat. For more information, visit the tournament’s website.
