Hall County authorities Wednesday arrested a Gainesville woman on warrants for allegedly taking money from an elderly person.

Tina Ann Neal, 54, is charged with exploitation of an elderly person and financial transaction card fraud.

In a news release, sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware said Neal stole a credit/debit card from the victim in January and purchased items with the card at three places in the county.

"A Superior Court Probation warrant was issued for Neal's arrest on January 31, 2017. Neal's original charge was possession of methamphetamine," Ware said in the release.

Hall County authorities obtained warrants for her arrest last month.

Investigators served those warrants while Neal was in custody at the Dawson County Jail.  She has since been booked into the Hall County Jail.
