GAINESVILLE — For third consecutive day, the North Hall tennis teams split a pair of non-region matches, this time against Jefferson.
The North Hall girls took a 5-0 win while the Jefferson boys took a 4-1 victory.
For the girls, in singles Anna Montgomery defeated Sarah Moore 6-0, 6-0; Lauren Davis beat Sydney Tyler; and Christen Barnes defeated Gracie Beem 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, the team of Sydney Patterson and Annalise Gregory defeated Jessica Jacobs and Catherine Chambers 6-3, 6-0 and the team of Carsen Baumgardner and Raquel Kallab beat Kaitlyn House / Olivia Little 6-1, 6-0.
The Lady Trojans improved to 12-4 with their 10th shutout victory of the season.
In the boys match, Jefferson swept the singles. Masa Kobayashi lost to Marcus Barninger 6-0, 6-1; Daniel Martin lost to Caden Mantooth 6-3, 6-2; and Kody Dills dropped a tough three-setter to Blake Lathrop 2-6, 6-4, 10-6.
In doubles, the North Hall team of Adam Turcotte and Shawn Wallhausen lost to Caleb Tyler and Caleb Wells 6-2, 6-2. The Trojans got their only win at No. 2 doubles with Ethan Surles and Christian Boychuk defeating Del Jenkins and Cooper Kenwork 6-3, 6-2.
North Hall fell to 8-8 on the season.
Both North Hall teams will be back in action on April 10 against Gainesville at Longwood Park.
