BLAIRSVILLE — Reese Olson struck out nine and tossed a one-hitter to lead North Hall to a 11-0, five-inning win over Union County Wednesday in Region 7-AAA action.

The Trojans (15-4, 8-0 Region 7-AAA) maintained their lead over Greater Atlanta Christian for first place and pushed their win streak to three. Pitching has been the key of late. They have given up just seven total runs in their last six games.

North Hall pummeled four Union County (5-9, 1-7) pitchers. Jackson Latty led the Trojans at the plate with two hits and four RBI. Taber Mongero, Charlie Erickson, and Drew Hubbard each had two hits. Austin Adams, Olson, and Wesley Smith had one hit apiece for the Trojans.

North Hall scored one in the first and then exploded for seven runs in the second to blow it open. The Trojans added three in the fifth to invoke the Mercy Rule.

The two teams' will complete their three-game series on Friday at Jody Davis Field.
