Girls soccer: Balance leads Buford past Cedar Shoals

BUFORD — The Buford girls soccer team showed its versatility as 10 different players notched goals in a 10-0 win over Cedar Shoals Tuesday in Region 8-AAAAA action.

The Lady Wolves improved to 11-1-1 overall and remained a perfect 5-0 in region play.

Maria Maggio led the way with a goal and three assists, Annie Mayo and Reagan Coleman each had a goal and an assist for the Lady Wolves. Caleigh Rowan, Julia Lewis, Sydney Borgelt, Yuritzi Cruz, Cameron Hall, Sydney McCullough, and Heidi Orr each scored one goal for Buford.

Jada Caraballo, Ava Sherman, and Angeli Burgos each recorded one assist for Buford.

The Lady Wolves are off for the next two weeks. They next will travel to Blessed Trinity on Tuesday, April 11 for a non-region tilt.
