Baseball: North Hall blanks Union County, stays perfect in 7-AAA

GAINESVILLE — North Hall stayed unbeaten in Region 7-AAA after taking a 10-0, six inning win over Union County Monday at Jody Davis Field.

Corban Meeler earned the win for the Trojans (14-4, 7-0 Region 7-AAA) scattering six hitts while striking out seven in a complete-game effort.

Cole Davis ook the loss for the Panthers (5-8, 1-6) allowing 10 runs on 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings. Davis fanned five.

Reese Olson drove the offense with two hits and five RBI to lead North Hall. Taber Mongero, Austin Adams and Drew Hubbard each had two hits apiece. Wesley Smith also had a hit and two RBI, and Jackson Latty scored three runs for the Trojans.

The two teams will travel to Blairsville on Wednesday to resume their three game series.
