MILTON, Fla. - Casey Roberts made the 400 mile haul from his hometown of Toccoa, Georgia to Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida worthwhile over the weekend, as he swept both nights of Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series action.
It as his first visit to Southern Raceway, and the trip netted him a total of $9,000 for the weekend.
Roberts led all 40 laps in Friday’s feature en route to the victory. Ryan Crane came home in second, with Joseph Joiner third, Devin Dixon fourth and Bo Shirley fifth.
Tyler Millwood, Clint Smith, Tristen Sealy, Tyler Crowder and Josh Putnam rounded out the top ten.
On Saturday, it was second verse, same as the first, as Roberts again dominated the feature, leading all 50 laps. Millwood made a strong move on the final restart to take second away from Tyler Clem, who had to settle for third. Crowder finished fourth, with Shirley in fifth.
Smith, Austin Horton, T.J. Reaid, Crane and Eric Hickerson rounded out the top ten.
The Southern All Stars returns to action on Saturday, April 8 at Georgia’s Cochran Motor Speedway, with $7,500 on the line for the win
