Ga. 9 in Dawson County will be closed during the day Friday, Saturday and Sunday as crews relocate the utility lines in the area.
The closure affects the area between Dawson Forest Road to Bannister Road between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Southbound raffic will be diverted onto Thompson Road, Hugh Stowers Road, Dawson Forest Road and back onto Ga. 9; Northbound traffic will be diverted onto the same roads, in reverse order.
Ga. 9 southbound will remain open for access to Martin Road and Bannister Road, officials said.
