CLEVELAND — White County funeral director Ricky Barrett of Barrett Funeral Home says his home phone number has been spoofed and scammers are using the number to call people trying to sell them insurance in a scamming effort.
Barrett, who also serves as White County's elected coroner, said Windstream officials told him there is nothing they can do to help in the situation.
Barrett said he has received calls from people who told him they have gotten calls and his name appears on the Caller ID at their home.
