GAINESVILLE — The Gainesville boys tennis team notched a 3-2 win over defending region champion Apalachee on Tuesday in Gainesville.
The Red Elephants (2-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAAA) swept the doubles points and clinched the match with a win at No. 3 singles, as Dylan Pineda prevailed 6-4, 6-0.
Roan Thompson and Michael Head won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Max Wuest and Thomas Carter won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
