OAKWOOD — The Johnson boys soccer team warmed up for their biggest rival in style on Tuesday, dominating Lakeview Academy 10-1 in Oakwood.
The Knights (3-0) -- who take on longtime foe Gainesville on Friday -- used a hat-trick from Michael Arcia to set the pace, as Arcia scored three of Johnson's first four strikes. David Samaniego, Alex Penaloza, Rigo Campa, Jose Gomez, Jonathan Miralrio, Pedro Martinez and Felix Velasquez added the other goals for Johnson.
Samaniego, Gomez and Diego Chavez also provided assists in the win.
Andrew Miller Bell scored the Lions' lone goal on a free kick from Jack Perkins.
Lakeview (1-1-2) will play host to Flowery Branch at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
The Knights will travel to City Park to face Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
