GAINESVILLE — North Hall got a strong starting peformance from Corban Meeler but could not manage enough offense in a 1-0, 9-inning loss to North Gwinnett on Monday in Gainesville.
Meeler threw 8 innings of shutout baseball, scattering eight hits, while striking out seven batters and yielding no walks. Jackson Latty took the loss in relief.
Dylan Lavender managed the Trojans sole hit, however, as Walker Cleveland and Cade Heil combined to help North Gwinnett to the win.
Michael Borah provided the winning RBI for the Bulldogs.
North Hall will take on St. Pius and George Walton Academy on Saturday.
