Class AA playoffs: Leopards stay hot, rout Washington-Atlanta

HOMER — The Banks County boys ran their win streak to 20 straight after rolling over Washington-Atlanta 53-34 Saturday in the first round of the Class AA playoffs.

The Leopards (23-4) jumped on Washington-Atlanta early taking a 14-3 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 26-10 by halftime. The Bulldogs (8-21) never recovered.

Carl Cleveland paced Banks County with 13 points. Gabe Martin added 12 points for the Leopards. Kahmal Wiley continued his dominating play with 10 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and three blocks. Dylan Orr chipped in with five points to go with 10 rebounds.

Banks County will play host to the Josey, which beat Metter 57-38, on Thursday in the second round.
