A Forsyth County man faces a felony commercial gambling charge after Virginia authorities traced an online gambling operation to his home in Cumming.

Frank Michael House, 54, allegedly used houses on Somerset Court in Cumming and Santa Anita Trail in Woodstock to work as a "bookie," allowing gamblers to place wagers on college and professional sporting events, according to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

He was arrested Thursday.

The investigation began in Fairfax County, Virginia, and, following a lengthy investigation, traced the gambling to House's residences in Forsyth and Cherokee counties.

House was also charged when Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputies found illegal drugs inside his home; GBI officials said a large amount of cash was seized as well.

Forsyth deputies charged him with possession of oxycodone, possession of methylene and possession of MDAM (ecstasy), among others.

More charges could be coming in both Georgia and Virginia, officials said.

The investigation is ongoing.
