TAMPA, Fla. - Wednesday night’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned portion of the 41st annual Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida was canceled due to wet weather.
Despite tireless efforts to work the track following a band of heavy rain in the afternoon, speedway and series officials were forced to cancel the event.
The washout came on the third of a six night stand for the series at East Bay. Brandon Sheppard won on Monday night, with Josh Richards taking the victory on Tuesday night.
The Winternationals are slated to continue with a $7,000-to-win program on Thursday night.
