An 18-month-old girl was hospitalized at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta after she was burned Wednesday at a Buford restaurant.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. at the Cracker Barrel on Lanier Islands Parkway, when the child apparently grabbed a cup of hot coffee on a table and pulled it onto herself, according to Cpt. Casey Ramsey with Hall County Fire Services.
"Information we have received and gathered report to (the accident being) accidental in nature," said Ramsey in an email update Wednesday afternoon.
The injuries to the child were described as non-life threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
