At its meeting Feb. 28, Suwanee city council members will consider final approval of a new assisted living and memory care facility at the intersection of Buford Highway and McGinnis Ferry Road.
The Planning and Zoning Commission gave its approval to the rezoning request for the 6.6-acre tract of land, which backs up to Burnette Road.
"At this point, we don't see any obstacles with it," said Marty Allen, city manager.
The facility would be a 67,000-square-foot building with entrances on McGinnis Ferry and Burnette Road, according to city documents.
There will be 86 units within the building.
Developers do not believe parking will be an issue, since most of the residents will not be driving, and an on-site shuttle service will be available.
Council will give it a final vote that night at 6 p.m. during its regular voting session.
