The search firm assisting the Gainesville City School Board with the process of hiring a new superintendent has 30 applications for board members to review later this month.
Board Chairman Brett Mercer announced at a work session Monday night that the resumes in hand are those of principals, assistant superintendents and superintendents, as well.
Mercer said the Board received 545 responses to a community survey issued last month, seeking desired qualities and skills that stakeholders want to see in a new superintendent.
The Board meets with King Cooper and Associates on February 18.
