Boys basketball: North Hall nips Lumpkin County in 7-AAA finale

DAHLONEGA — North Hall snapped a two-game losing streak rallying in the second half to knock off Lumpkin County 76-73 Friday night in Region 7-AAA action.

It was the regular season finale for both teams.

The Trojans (14-11 7-5 Region 7-AAA) led 21-19 after the first quarter but Lumpkin County (12-13, 4-8) used a 24-14 second quarter to take a 43-35 halftime lead.

North Hall rallied to tie the game at 53 by the end of the third quarter.

Alden Lewallen led five Trojans in double figures with 20 points. Justin Rabb added 13 points, Alec Volle and Griffin Neville 11 each, and Jake Meeler chipped in with 10 points.

Zack Pulley led Lumpkin County with a game-high 35 points. Jacob Zarate had 22 points for the Indians.
