Twenty-one pieces of public art are now on display at the Hall County Government Center as part of the facility's first ever public art show.

"We are excited to provide citizens with a venue to view beautiful artwork, and we are equally honored to have such talented local artists entrust us with their works," said Katie Crumley, public information officer for Hall County Government.

A total of 21 pieces are located on the second, third and fourth floors of the Browns Bridge Road facility.  The galleries include oil and pastel portraits by featured artist Connie-Lynne Reilly, landscape and still life paintings by Nancy Hunt, James Tanner and Susan Medrow, a woven piece by Clara Giraldo as well as works by seven West Hall High School students.

"The variety in the art and the quality of the work has transformed the walls of this building," Hall County Commission Chairman Richard Higgins said.  "This art show simply expands the uses of the government center, which has become well-known as a one-stop shop for citizens seeking County services."

The current artwork, which was submitted and vetted by the Hall County Government Public Art Committee, will be on display for approximately six months.   The pieces are available for viewing during normal operating hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and when the building is open outside of those normal operating hours for public meetings.
