The Georgia State Patrol has identified the victim in a pedestrian accident that occurred Thursday in the East Hall County area.
Investigating troopers said James Donald Rice, 57, was struck and killed on Roy Parks Road near A.L. Mangum Road around 5:45 p.m.
According to information from the State Patrol, a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, being driven by a 76-year-old woman, was traveling southbound on Roy Parks Road. Rice crossed the roadway from east to west, too a few steps onto the west shoulder of the road and then walked back to the center of the southbound lane.
The truck hit Rice from behind.
No charges are expected to be filed in the fatal accident.
