CLEVELAND — Two men have been arrested in connection with several burglaries in White County.

White County Sheriff’s Capt. Rick Kelley said WCSO has been investigating a series of residential burglaries in the Sautee area for the past couple of months.

That investigation led them to a suspect identified as Joshua Adam Doster, 40, of Demorest.

Officers executed a search warrant at Doster’s residence on Nov 21, Kelley said.

Demorest Police Department, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia Department of Community Supervision assisted in the execution of that search warrant.

During the search, investigators located numerous tools and electronics that were stolen from three different burglaries in the Sautee area, according to Kelley. Investigators recovered more than $3,000 worth of stolen property.

Doster was taken into custody and is charged with three counts of burglary, three counts of theft by taking, and 1 count of party to the crime of identity fraud.

Nelson Mark Foster, 66, of Baldwin also been charged with one count of identity fraud in the case, according to Kelley.

The investigation is ongoing.
