BALDWIN — A Baldwin man remains jailed and his stepson is hospitalized after a domestic dispute involving a knife Wednesday night.
“Baldwin officers were dispatched to 106 Laredo Drive at approximately 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, in reference to a domestic dispute,” Baldwin Police Chief Charles Webb said Thursday. “When en route, Dispatch advised responding officers that a man had run out of the apartment covered in blood.”
Webb said arriving officers secured the scene and provided medical attention to the victim and primary aggressor until medical personnel arrived.
After further investigation, officers determined that Lendrick Alandra Frazier of Baldwin had been involved in a physical domestic dispute with his wife, Webb said.
The wife’s son, who was not named, attempted to break up the domestic dispute when Frazier pulled a knife from his pocket, according to Webb.
“Frazier cut himself on the right hand as he was opening the knife, then used the knife to cut his stepson, the victim,” Webb said. “The victim received multiple lacerations to his arm and left thigh as well as under his left arm and armpit. The victim was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he remained in stable condition as of last night.”
After receiving treatment for his injuries at Habersham Medical Center, Frazier was booked at the Habersham County Detention Center.
Frazier is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and with terroristic threats and acts, according to Habersham County Detention Center records. Bond has not been set as of Thursday night.
Laredo Drive is located off Williams Street near downtown Baldwin.
“Our officers were assisted on scene with the call by Alto P.D. and Cornelia P.D., and we would like to express our appreciation for that,” Webb said.
The incident remains under investigation.
