Clarkesville man reappointed to state board

A Habersham County man has been named to a new term on the Georgia Superior Court Clerks Cooperative Authority by Gov. Nathan Deal.

Jim Weidner is a partner and managing member of the law firm Oliver & Weidner, LLC. He sits on the board of trustees for Tallulah Falls School and serves as board secretary. Weidner is a member of the Habersham County Chamber of Commerce and the White County Chamber of Commerce. He is an organizing director of Southern Bank & Trust in Clarkesville and serves as the secretary of its parent corporation, Southern Bancorp. Weidner is a former board chairman of the United Way of Habersham County.

He and his wife, Susan, have four children and reside in Clarkesville.
