WINDER — Winder-Barrow senior Trey Hill remembers the Bulldoggs' tougher days.
In fact, the starting lineman was not even alive the last time Winder won a state playoff game -- until he and his teammates changed that fact last week.
Already part of one of the most successful classes in years, Hill and his teammates led the Bulldoggs to their first postseason success since 1993 courtesy a 36-7 defeat of Chattahoochee in the Class AAAAAA bracket.
And now they want more.
After putting in the work and commitment to help turn Winder from a team that made just two state playoff appearances in the 20 years (in between 1993 and their freshmen campaign) to a team that made its fourth straight state bracket this season, the Bulldoggs believe they can continue their march when they travel to face Harrison on Friday in the second round.
With that in mind, Hill took time to talk with AccessWDUN Sports and Friday Game Night editor Morgan Lee about his team's historic success, just what got them there, and what it will take to make the quarterfinals. (NOTE: To watch a video interview with Hill click "play" in the box above.)
