BUFORD — Buford football made some impressive offensive adjustments on Friday night -- and the Wolves will look to take those changes into the postseason.
Buford rolled up 35 second half points en route to a 54-23 win over Paulding County in the first round of the Class AAAAA playoffs in Buford.
Derrian Brown certainly made his presence felt, as the running back put up four scoring runs, including a 60-yard explosion in the second quarter. The long touchdown helped Buford to take a 19-3 advantage at the interval.
Minutes after the restart it was 33-3 thanks to a 10-yard touchdown pass from Aaron McLaughlin to Tyler Gillis and another Brown scoring run. Brown's fourth touchdown made it 40-10 in the third quarter.
The Wolves (9-1) will play host to the winner of Saturday's Maynard Jackson vs. Miller Grove game in the second round.
