Fire chief resigns in Hall County

Posted 5:45PM on Tuesday 31st October 2017 ( 7 years ago )
Hall County officials announced the resignation of Hall County Fire Chief Jeff Hood Tuesday afternoon.

Hood began his tenure in the county in early 2014, hired as deputy fire chief.  He became fire chief later that same year.

While offering appreciation for Hood's service in a media release from the county, Interim Hall County Administrator Jock Connell offered no reason for the resignation.

"We appreciate Chief Hood's service to the citizens of Hall County, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors," Connell said.

Hall County Fire Services Deputy Chief Mark Arnold has been named interim chief.

"The men and women of Hall County Fire Services are brave and hard-working public servants," Connell stated in the release. "I look forward to evaluating the needs of this department to find the most qualified and appropriate person to fill the post."
