DAWSONVILLE — Dawson County football knows that when it needs a big play it can almost always rely on veteran quarterback Coey Watson.
The senior has spent years burning defenses -- and on Friday night he did it once again.
Watson produced six touchdowns to go along with 151 yards rushing and 116 yards passing -- all of which proved crucial in a 56-48 win over East Hall in a key Region 7-AAA showdown.
Watson also picked off a pass in the end zone as time expired to seal the victory on a wild night that finished with Dawson County still undefeated in 7-AAA and in position for a region title shot in the coming weeks.
For his efforts, Watson has been named the Friday Game Night, Coca-Cola United Bottling Player of the Week.
With two games left to play -- versus arch-rival Lumpkin County and then No. 3 Greater Atlanta Christian -- Watson and his Tigers look to be firing on all cylinders as they enter the stretch run of the campaign.
