A man has died from his injuries sustained in a Saturday morning motorcycle crash in Lumpkin County.
Georgia State Patrol Sergeant First Class Curtis Bradshaw said 49-year-old Rajendra Anant Jamadagni of Johns Creek died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center hours after the crash on Town Creek Church Road north of Carriage Court northeast of Dahlonega.
Bradshaw said Jamadagni heading north when he crossed the centerline and left the road while negotiating a downhill curve. He then reportedly overturned and hit a highway sign.
Bradshaw said no charges are expected in the crash and speed is not believed to be a factor, as a witness who was behind Jamadagni told authorities that the motorcycle was not speeding when the accident occurred.
Jamadagni was the only person on the motorcycle. The crash reportedly happened at around 9:40 a.m.
