BUFORD — Buford football got rolling in the second quarter en route to a 56-0 defeat of Cedar Shoals on Friday in Buford.
Anthony Grant's eight-yard touchdown run provided the only scoring in the first quarter -- but the Wolves (5-1, 3-0 Region 8-AAAAA) caught fire before halftime, as Tyler Gillis, Grant, Aaron McLaughlin and Isaiah Isaac all combined to blitz the Jaguars and yield a 35-0 first half lead.
Grant added another scoring run in the third quarter and finished the night with three touchdown runs.
McLaughlin tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another.
Derrian Brown added another second half touchdown, while Clayton Nelson caught a touchdown from backup Will Westmoreland.
Buford plays host to Walnut Grove next week.
