Thousands of visitors are expected to pour into Hall County this weekend for two traditional fall events: Mule Camp Market and the Petit Le Mans.
For about a quarter century, the Gainesville Jaycees have hosted Mule Camp Market, which begins a three-day run in downtown Gainesville Friday. However, the event itself actually goes back to the mid-1960s when it was known as the Home Federal Curb Market.
This will be the 20th year for the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta near Chestnut Mountain. The race will be run Saturday starting at 11:05 a.m., ending ten hours later at 9:05 p.m. However, a number of preliminary races are scheduled between now and then as well as practice and qualifying.
