DAWSONVILLE — The Dawson County girls picked up their second straight Region 7-AAA win Tuesday night with a 69-47 drubbing of Fannin County at home.
The Lady Tigers (8-13, 5-4 Region 7-AAA) opened the gamne with a 15-2 first quarter and never looked back. They took a 30-18 lead into halftime and pused the lead to 45-32 heading into the fourth quarter.
Kaylee Sticker continued her strong play pouring in 21 points to lead Dawson County. Abi Chatham adedd 16 points for the Lady Tigers. Anna Lowe scored 13 and Marlie Townley had nine points for Dawson County.
The win kept them within striking of North Hall (13-9, 6-4) for third place in the region standings.
The two teams will meet on Friday in Dawsonville.
