A $180 million mixed-use development along the Mall of Georgia corridor gets approval from the Gwinnett County Commission.
Commissioners approved the project unanimously at a meeting this week, paving the way for the large project on Mall of Georgia Boulevard at Woodward Crossing Boulevard.
According to published reports, the plans include construction of more than 500 apartments as well as mid-rise condominiums. A 21-story hotel planned for the property would become the tallest building in Gwinnett County, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Retail shops and a family entertainment center also are planned for the 16-acre tract of land.
