Softball: Buford blanks North Hall at UNG

DAHLONEGA — Buford got another stellar outing from junior hurler Logan Caymol as the Lady Wolves knocked off North Hall 8-0 in six innings Wednesday at the University of North Georgia Softball Complex.

Caymol went the distance scattering four hits and one walk while fanning eight improve to 7-0 on the season. It also was her seventh complete game of the season.

The Lady Wolves (13-1) scored twos each in the first, third, fourth, and sixth innings. Sophomore Shea Bayreuther paced the Buford offense with three RBI on two hits.

Sophomore Mariah Wicker and junior Rebecca Wilson each had one hit, stole a base, and scored twice for Buford. Junior Arielle Oda had one hit for Buford

Buford next will travel to Cedar Shoals on Thursday in a Region 8-AAAAA matchup.

Kailee Dyer, Ashlyn Brewster, Julian Garrett, and Carson Negley each had one hit for the Lady Trojans (8-6).

Charli Shepheard gave up four earned runs on five hits in five innings of work for North Hall. She struck out two and walked six.

The Lady Trojans travel to Madison on Friday night to play Walnut Grove and Banks County in the Morgan County tournament.

Buford's Logan Caymol pitched her seventh complete game of the season in leading the Lady Wolves to an 8-0 win over North Hall Wednesday at the North Georgia Softball Complex.
