The Quinlan Visual Arts Center Mini Gallery, located in the Regions Center in downtown Gainesville, is featuring the work of local artist Linda Tilden.
Tilden graduated from Georgia State University with a Marketing Degree. She has worked as a Commercial Real Estate Agent, Credit Administrator for Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company, Staffing Agency manager, Sprint Georgia Market Manager and a Middle and High School Art Teacher for Heritage Academy. She was one of the founding members of The Georgia Force High School Football League, and served as their Assistant Athletic Director.
Tilden is an award winning artist and actively involved in several art groups including the Quinlan Visual Arts Center, Hoschton Heritage Arts, American Society of Marine Artists and currently serves as President of The Georgia Art League a sister organization of the Quinlan Visual Arts Center.
She has worked as a volunteer on set designs for stage productions, costume design, art workshops, painting murals, art therapy as well as giving private lessons, and has studied under several professional artists in oil, pastel and acrylic painting.
According to a press release from the Quinlan, this is one of many that will feature emerging north Georgia artists in the small gallery. It will be on display through October 15.
