CLEVELAND — A bicyclist was injured Wednesday afternoon when he was hit by a vehicle on South Main Street in Cleveland.
The bicyclist was northbound at the intersection of Highway 75 South when the female driver of a vehicle turned from South Main Street (U.S. 129) onto Highway 75, striking the bicyclist and throwing him about 12 feet, said Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt.
The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with what Pruitt described as non-life-threatening injuries.
